Urban planning

In all spheres of life and in all of humankind's activities, advanced societies strive to achieve a goal of balance that we,society, have come to coin “sustainability". Sustainability consists of “meeting the needs of today’s generations without compromising the potential of future generations to meet their needs”. It is founded on three aspects that should be reviewed simultaneously: social sustainability, economic sustainability and environmental.

Urban planning –the creation of a city– is not an exception to this principle that is broadly-accepted among society and valued by citizens.

Indeed, since the city forms the backdrop where most of the world’s population live their lives, it is more important –even compared to other fields of life– for this discipline to be imbued by this requirement for sustainability.
At S.O.B., urban planning forms an essential component of our day-to-day professional activities. We feel highly involved and committed to these concepts which unquestionably are part of the philosophy on which our proposals are founded. Accordingly, with these principles we approach the whole scope of urban planning, from general proposals as well as the planning and urban development of new neighborhoods, to the overhaul of existing ones.
